Hello ,

I can't believe what I saw,it's unbelivable Oracle is a direct competitor of MySQL, by buying sun and so MySQL they would simply put MySQL to closed sources or shutdown it.
MySQL is the most used SQL engine on the web because it's perfectly fit for the web.
I personaly can't let MySQL die, I worked with it all the time and continue working with it actualy to make the websites.

Without MySQL what should we chose ? MSSQL ? Oracle ? PostgreSQL (ok this one could be used aswell), but leting die a such nice database engine would be simply bad.
It would mean also that all the website if MySQL die would have to redo their code and setup apache with the correct plugin etc , and I don't do a full list of the direct consequences of this.

Tons of lines of code would be put into the garbage and as a result the money lost.
